“the project i’m currently working on is entitled: R & G (Rhythm & Game) Ballads Of A Boss” says G-Field in between sips of iced tea, at Franco’s soul food in Louisville. i wanted to do something different as well as show my supporters my diversity in terms of music. R & G is more like top notch, quality music that allows you to move and groove, ulturally smooth. producers include @sololamaze, @jriceuu & @youngdiesel502 to name a few. the lead single entitled: ” P.D.S.” is a very low key, rhythm filled, melodic track describing G-Field’s unadulterated love for the ” Personal ” affection that his female companion shows. when we asked G-Field what P.D.S. stood for, he simply states: “P.D.S. will be droppin soon, pay attention to the record!! he says with a smile, we expect it to be as big as O.P.P.”

Boosie Associate Denied Bail In Codeine Case; Accused Of Drug Dealing

A man associated with Lil Boosie has been denied bail, after he was accused of attempting to smuggle codeine into Angola prison on behalf of the rapper.

Undercover officers conducted surveillance on Titus Franklin, after the East Baton Rogue District Attorneys Office received credible threats against the lead prosecutor, Hillar Moore.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Titus Franklin and another man named Arthur Stewart were attempting to smuggle the codeine into Angola for the rapper.

According to The Advocate, on Wednesday (August 17th), a judge denied Titus Franklin’s request for bail and ordered him to prison immediately.

According to the judge, Titus Franklin is a drug dealer who’s been in and out of prison for multiple felony drug arrests.

Prosecutors said that Franklin has posted over $450,000 in bail for six separate drug cases, in less than two years.

As for Lil Boosie, the rapper is currently languishing in Angola State Prison, where he is serving a 10-year sentence for possession of marijuana, although he was only expected to serve two-three years of the sentence.

But he has since been indicted for serious crime of first-degree murder, for allegedly hiring a 16-year-old named Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding to shoot and kill a 35-year-old man named Terry Boyd, in October of 2009.

Yo Gotti Issued Warrant for Arrest

Memphis rapper Yo Gotti has been served a warrant by local authorities in connection to a shooting that occurred last month in his hometown.

Police report that a fight broke out between Gotti and fellow M-Town MC OG Boo Dirty at Level II nightclub on November 29. A third person stepped in, and then later gunshots were fired resulting in five people being shot.

My Fox Memphis spoke to YG’s lawyer yesterday (December 12) and he confirmed the warrant was issued for the charge of aggravated riot. An arrest warrant has also been issued for Boo Dirty and to several other unidentified men, all connected to the shootout.

In related news, Gotti just dropped his new mixtape, CM5: White Friday: All White Everything, last friday. The 16-track disc features appearances from Waka Flocka Flame and Ciara.

Texas Rappers Unite To Honor Pimp C. During Charity Event

The life of UGK founding group member rapper Pimp C. will be celebrated during the 2nd Annual Chad “Pimp C” Butler Hip Hop, Health & Wellness Fair.

The event is being co-produced by the CCM Foundation and the UGQ Company, which was founded by Pimp C’s wife, Chinara Butler.

The Pimp C Hip Hop Health and Awareness Fair encourages teens and young adults to acknowledge and realize the importance of regular physical examines, frequent HIV/STD testing, drug prevention and abuse.

This year’s event will take place in Houston, Texas, with the support of a variety of Texas legends. Slim Thug, Z-Ro, Devin the Dude and DJ Michael Watts will hit the stage to entertain attendees, while delivering the day’s important message.

Today (December 4th) marks the third anniversary of the death of Pimp C., who was found dead in his sleep, due to a combination of promethazine and codeine and a pre-existing breathing condition.

The rapper, who started the seminal Hip-Hop group Underground Kings (UGK) with partner Bun-B in 1988, enjoyed one of the longest careers in Hip-Hop with the group until his untimely demise.

“Today we remember the life of my brother Chad Lamont Butler,” UGK group member Bun B. tweeted today. “We never stop thinking about you. You are loved. You are missed. UGK for life!”

The 2nd Annual Chad “Pimp C” Butler Hip Hop, Health & Wellness Fair takes place December 11th, at Forest Brook Middle School.

Pimp C’s latest album The Naked Soul of Sweet Jones was released in October of 2010.

Suge Knight Arrested, Released

Suge Knight was arrested after a bench warrant was issued for the former Death Row mogul.

Knight was booked into the West Hollywood jail around 1:15 am, after a $40,000 bench warrant was issued on November 23, because he failed to appear in a Los Angeles court room, according to TMZ.

Police pulled the 45-year-old over and charged him with driving with a suspended license and running a stop sign on September 23.

Knight was issued a citation and signed a promise to appear before he was released from police custody.
